My brain went on vacation

Been an odd couple days of late, or at least mentally wearing. My brain is largely operating on the level of, "Eat now. Must sleep. Pillage neighbor." Attempting deep contemplation or reflection requires the effort and assumption of risks of one distilling homemade nitroglycerin at a buffet table.

Do not underestimate the psychological trauma of sauntering vaguely in the direction of the next chore, singing a Ramones song under your breath, only to realize that the lyrics have mutated of their own accord. "I don't wanna get married at a pet seminary... I'll live with my cats in sin..." These are things that escape my unconscious to prey upon the unwary.

I hate when my brain locks in idle. Not even the little seed topics I've set to the side for this very eventuality are managing to capture my focus. Call it writer's block for lack of a better term and more energy.
