De Scent into Pain

Air freshener got changed. They like to do that on a regular basis. We get compliments that the store smells good on a regular basis.

While this is generally a good thing, especially in the hot, sunny days of the summer because not everyone knows the benefit of regular bathing and it can edge toward the gamey before the ventillation clears the air, it has been my downfall today.

The current scent caressed my brain with all the delicasy of an ice-pick within half an hour of walking in the door.

It has not relented.

It's always the unexpected hazards of work that get you.

I sympathize with you.

I have this odd physical reaction to air fresheners that smell like oranges or lemons, especially in enclosed spaces like a car. The citrus scents give me an immediate migraine, and I feel like someone is jamming a stick into my eyeball up to my brain.

To a lesser extent are those intense, flowery scents. Ugh.
