What are the odds?

It's feeling rather peculiar at present.

Between the attrition of jewel cases to people never returning movie rentals, people currently renting, and terminal wear-and-tear, my store is now suffering a severe shortage of cases for rental DVDs to go with customers.

We've burned through the reserves.

Unless we start getting some returns tonight, and through some odd alchemy of the universe, none are due back today, I fear I shall actually have to turn away rental customers this night. This is not good.

Always lovely when something occurs for the first time ever for the store so there are no procedures in place and I have to play it as I go.
